Back again to plug something new. If you are like me and enjoy cool quotes and humorous sayings then I have something that's worth taking a look at. Here's a little gem by yours truly and it's available through Amazon and Create Space. It's a little book i wrote called...
This humorous and witty book takes you through my everyday thoughts and touches base on many subject matters that we all have in common and can relate to. Read my twisted but funny quotes about life, love, drinking, men, women, stupidity and some more risque subjects as well. These quotes are, "not so famous" which is why they will be fresh material for readers searching for much more than the same old quotes that's been read over and over. Some great examples are?" Men are simple to figure out, we are basically educated cavemen." and " Once you think life is great, you should yank out a nose hair to remind you that it's only temporary." So what are you waiting for? Check it out for yourself and be prepared to be amused with these fresh new quotes, rants, and random thoughts.
I couldn't wait to plug this new animated series on Yahoo created by Tom Hanks himself and co-produced by his production company. With YouTube and other websites spending big bucks to create and distribute real life and animated shows, it was only a matter of time until Yahoo brought in the big guns. I must say, this series looks incredibly good and very promising. I embedded the first episode here but if you want the full experience then you must check out the website itself. It has character profiles and maps that interact with the video as it moves along. Very high tech and smooth if you ask me. Here is the link to the site... http://electriccity.yahoo.com/ep1-en-truth-or-consequences.html.
Hanks powerful voice is an added bonus to the show. This isn't Forrest Gump or Woody talking here! Hanks plays a bad ass lead character and you will be surprised by the ending of this episode. Give it a look and see what you think. Even leave comments here as I'm interested in what your opinion will be. As for me, I'm jumping on board and seeing where this is going. -Kenny
Being an artist myself, I am always interested in new and exiting styles of artwork. This is one that I've never heard of. It's called Spray Paint Art. Sure, I see it on buildings and bridges but these artist do it on paper which is a much smaller medium and requires much more control.
The cool thing here is they actually have videos that walk you through and tech you step by step with several videos to choose from. It can teach you very different but at the same time very cool techniques. There is a membership fee but in my opinion, if this is something that interests you then it's well worth it because a lot of these teachings are very secret and you just can't learn them anywhere.
Check it out for yourself and see if it's worth it to you. Watch the video and learn a lot even if you don't buy anything. I promise you will be amazed at what they create with just a few cans of spray paint!! Here's a link to the site... Click Here!
I hope that you enjoyed the video and maybe even found something worthwhile in the process. Until next time, take care.

Like I promised in my last blog, here is something affordable to check out. Wait a minute... not only is it affordable... it's actually FREE!! Webcomics Nation is a place where you can go to view awesomely, cool web comics by hundreds of Small Press and Indy creators. True, they all aren't created equally as far as quality story and art but most are very promising and enjoyable reads. You just have to browse around as they have lots of categories listed by genre. There are some truly great comics awaiting to be discovered here.
Below is a list of some of my favorite web comics that they have available. There are so many that I still haven't had a chance to check out due to the large quantity they have on their site. These will serve as good examples of what they have to offer.
There really is something there for everyone and they are FREE!! So what are you waiting for, check out all they have to offer at http://www.webcomicsnation.com/.
Spartacus 2012 Trading Card Premium Pack with 2 Autographs...
What's up all of you Spartacus junkies! While I'm on the Spartacus kick, If you like trading cards and love the Spartacus series then this is a must have for you.Trading cards are being done to death again but the cool thing about these is they contain 2 Autograph Cards.
The price of these 9 cards are rising quick as these items are "collectible as hell."
Now of course we all can't afford to pay a huge amount of $45.00 for trading cards, but if that's your hobby and you know how to move these bad boys and make a profit to a collector or fan-boy then you can actually benefit from picking these up now before they continue to raise in value. If you are like a lot of us and are counting out your pocket change just to get a gallon of gas then this isn't for you.
I tried to find cheaper card set's but they are all out of stock which tells me that people are buying them up like they have lost their minds. I did find one individual card for $3.50 on Amazon.com but that was all that turned up. So ,like they say on the commercials, "Get 'em while they're Hot!!"
Next time I'll check around for more cool stuff to talk about that's affordable and not so rare. Be back soon!!

I abandoned this blog back in 2006 to focus on my family and publishing my own comics. It was originally a blog to help promote worthy reads from small press comics. Since then, a lot has changed. There are sites like eye on comics, midnight fiction, hyper geek, indy planet, and comixpress that review and help catalogue and promote these types of comics. My new goal for this blog will to review all types of media from comics to movies to music and more. Basically whatever i deem cool and worth a closer look at that moment in time. Flavor of the moment will still have it's roots in comic based material but with a much broader scope. I will also be directly linking you to buy these items from Amazon or maybe directly from the publisher. You don't have to purchase anything but it will be at your finger tips if you so desire. So let me re-launch this blog with a rant about my all time favorite show to date... SPARTACUS!!
Spartacus: Blood and Sand - The Complete First Season (2010)
I just finished watching Spartacus: Vengeance and as much as I enjoy the show, nothing can compare to season 1 starring the late Andy Whitfield who built the foundation of the leading character with raw passion and powerful performances throughout season 1.Andy was diagnosed with cancer and grew ill. He passed away on September 11, 2011. A powerful actor taken too soon, he left behind some of the best performances within the 13 episodes of season 1. If you haven't seen these then you are missing out on a great show. The theme is very mature, filled with sex and violence but has so much more to offer.
Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena - The Complete Collection (2011)
This was called season 1.5 and takes us back before the events of season 1. We see how all of the supporting characters found there way to The House of Batiatus. We are introduced to Gannicus who takes the lead role as champion temporarily. although I thought that I wouldn't like it, I wound up getting closer to the other characters and actually very satisfied with these 6 episodes. You must follow them as they will have a lot to do with the next season.
Spartacus: Vengeance - The Complete Second Season
I just recently finished watching this on cable. It will be available on DVD on September 11, 2012 which is still a while to wait but if you haven't followed the series at all then this will give you the chance to catch up on the previous ones. Liam McIntyre debuts the role of Spartacus. He has big shoes to fill but very suprising does an impressive job. He still isn't Andy and will never fill those shoes but he pulls it off as a believable Spartacus. All of the other supporting characters continue to grow and impress this season as well. Every episode escalates to a more intense level and will keep you on edge until the last second.
I'm looking forward to what will come next with this show and curious to see just how long they can keep hitting home runs. That's all for now.
